Why choose our wood pellets?
Most people who bulk buy wood pellets for us to heat their homes would agree that the fuel source is far more efficient, more affordable and kinder on the environment than other types of fuel.
However, in order to ensure that your wood pellet burner provides the heat you require, you need to have a good supply of high quality pellets on hand throughout the winter. The best way to do this is to buy your wood pellets from your supplier in bulk.
Having one ton of wood pellets delivered at a time will ensure that you always have plenty of fuel to burn and that your home stays nice and toasty even on the coldest of December days.
How efficient are wood pellets?
The efficiency of your wood pellet heating system will vary according to the age of your stove and the quality of your pellets. In general, newer stoves are far more efficient than older models so they’ll use less energy to produce the same amount of heat.
Using high quality, anti-dust pellets will also make a big difference to the efficiency of your heating system. Poor quality pellets will burn quickly and the dust they release can easily clog your pellet stove, causing it to burn less efficiently. Using pellets with a low dust content will help your stove to produce more heat and continue running well for years to come.
How long will 1 ton of wood pellets last?
As well as the efficiency of your boiler and the quality of your pellets, the amount of fuel you get through in a year will depend on how hot you like your home. If you want to enjoy tropical conditions even when it’s cold and icy outside, you’ll end up burning through a lot of pellets over the winter months. However, with wood pellets one of the most affordable fuels you can use, you’ll still end up paying less to heat your home than you would if you ran on gas or electricity.
On average, one ton of wood pellets produces around 4,800kWh of heat. This means that it will take around two to three tons of pellets to heat a small home throughout the year. However, if you home is big or poorly insulated, you may well find you need to burn through a few more bags in order to keep things toasty.
An incredibly affordable and efficient way of heating your home, wood pellets can help you to save money and do your part for the environment.
