The Importance Of Early Ordering
Pellet boilers and other alternative fuels are growing in popularity at an amazing rate. It seems as though the message is finally getting through that biomass and other more sustainable and renewable sources of energy are the future.
While this is great news for the planet, for believers and long-term proponents of greener energy, and for companies in the sector, it is also posing some problems.
These are not necessarily bad problems to have, however. Many suppliers and other associated business in the alternative fuel industry are working very hard to meet the demand from new customers.
Government's Renewable Heat Incentive
As part of the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive, the support given to people switching to pellets as a fuel source means more and more people are making the investment. But it also means that pellet suppliers like us here at the Wood Pellet Delivery Company are inundated with orders.
We couldn’t be happier but while we are doing everything we can to meet every single delivery, there is some advice that we can give about how and when to place your orders.
Advice About Ordering Wood Pellets
First, it’s always a good idea to order in bulk. Larger orders make more financial sense, not least because you can get better deals. It also means that you can save on delivery costs (if applicable) and that you don’t have to go out and top up your pellets from a more expensive local option when you run low.

These are the times when everyone and their gran are placing orders for big deliveries, and the times when suppliers find it most difficult to meet demand. Place your orders early, before the winter cold really sets in, and you won’t have to worry all winter about fuel. This also helps us to plan our order schedule, meaning we don’t run out and we’re not overwhelmed by a rush of orders all at the same time.
You don’t even need to have the pellets delivered there and then – just let us know when you need them and we can plan to deliver when required.
A little extra notice is all it takes to avoid a wait. As more and more people discover the joys of pellet burners, suppliers will continue to do their best to deliver. But a series of cold winters and growing numbers of people relying on us for fuel means we always advise to plan ahead.
It saves you money, saves us time and reduces the overall waste. It allows suppliers to plan journeys better, reducing costs on fuel and means you get the delivery you need, right when you want it. As winter once again confronts us all, don’t get caught cold – in all senses of the word.
