Moving To Eco-Friendly Energy
The wood pellet market in the UK started in around 2002 and has been growing steadily ever since. As more and more people make the move away from traditional fossil fuels, increased demand for biomass brings the price down.
However, rather than focusing on price, you might be better off looking at value. That’s because not all wood pellets are created equal. In fact, some of the cheaper wood pellets on the market represent something of a false economy.
And here’s why…
Wood Pellets
Wood pellets are designed to have a tough exterior that protects a softer inner material.
It is this softer material that burns best. But if it is exposed before it reaches your burner, it will break down into dust.
This dust will be too fine to burn and will clog up your burner leading to a greater need for maintenance.
Anti-Dust Wood Pellets
This is why our pellets are specially treated using a German system to remain intact, even during transit.
This means an average order from us contains ten times less dust than some cheaper biomass fuels. That could be as much as 50kg per average order.
Add this up over the life of your pellet burner and it starts to make a big difference.
Value For Money
The average price of a tonne of pellets comes in at around £250.
You might be able to find cheaper but remember that it is value that really makes the big difference.
